All About Bamboo
Bamboo fiber is softer than the softest cotton and produces a sustainable bedding product. It has a natural sheen to the surface and feels similar to silk or cashmere. Bamboo fiber is thinner than a human hair with a round soft and smooth surface that offers little or no stimulation against human skin. Bamboo's bright white color is shinning and delicate. The cross-section of a bamboo comforter features a fiber filled with various micro-gaps and holes, which contribute to the bamboo fiber's high degree of moisture absorption and ventilation. This enables your bamboo comforter to be thermal regulating to keep you cooler, drier, warmer and odor free in both hot summer and cold winter seasons.
Naturally Anti-microbial
Unlike other anti-microbial fabrics requiring chemical treatment, bamboo fiber is naturally anti-microbial and requires no harmful chemicals. It contains an agent "bamboo kun" that prevents bacteria from cultivating on it.
Natural and Healthy
Bamboo is of the world's most prolific and fastest-growing plant. It's able to reach maturity in about four years. Bamboo is nature's most sustainable resource and it is grown without pesticides or chemicals. It is 100% biodegradable and is naturally regenerative every three to four years. The great wonders of bamboo were validated as early as 400 years ago by arguably the best ancient Chinese medial work, Ben Cao Gang-mu The Compendium of Materia Medica1. Modern medical studies by both Chinese, Japanese and American scientists have further validated the idea that bamboo fiber can help to prevent cancer, improve on human's immune systems, sooth human's skin, and to slow down the aging process2.
How Bamboo Fiber is Made
Bamboo Fiber is a regenerated cellulose fiber produced from raw bamboo pulp. First, bamboo pulp is refined from bamboo through a process of hydrolysis-alkalization and multi-phase bleaching. The Bamboo pulp is then processed into bamboo fiber.
Advancements in modern technologies have enabled the drastic improvement on the quality and commercial use of bamboo fibers. Our bamboo fiber products have gotten rave reviews by customers since 2004. We continue to receive praise for our green products and user-friendly features. We sell Silk Queen brand bamboo comforters which we believe are the finest comforters available in the United States. All our bamboo products are grown in China's southern forests.
Keep your bamboo comforter like new.
Bamboo comforters represent an investment in quality bedding. We strongly suggest you consider purchasing a duvet cover to make your bed complete. Adding a duvet cover will keep your bamboo comforter clean, free from wear and dust free. Dust is the enemy of your bedding.
Our covers feature a convenient full side button closure and eight loops and ties inside the cover to hold your comforter firmly in place during the night. Some manufacturers eliminate this feature to sell a cheaper product. But after using both types of covers, most consumers prefer ours with the built-in loops and ties.
We strongly recommend professional dry cleaning for these comforters.
